ALN Acoustic Design provided acoustic consultancy for the refurbishment and extension of Studio 3 Arts, a dynamic music and performing arts centre in Barking. The upgraded facility includes two performance spaces, a recording studio, a bar, and a range of ancillary areas to support community engagement and creative programming.
Achieving high standards of sound isolation and internal acoustics was a core priority, despite the constraints of a tight project budget. Our approach focused on a detailed analysis of the existing building fabric to identify cost-effective opportunities for acoustic enhancement. This enabled targeted interventions that delivered maximum performance benefit while remaining practical and affordable.
