ALN Acoustic Design was appointed to provide acoustic consultancy for the refurbishment and extension of this well-established live music venue and nightclub.
One of the key challenges was addressing sound isolation, following historic issues with noise breakout affecting nearby properties. We carried out a comprehensive acoustic survey of the building to identify transmission paths and assess the extent of the problem. Based on these findings, we developed a targeted scheme of sound insulation improvements in close collaboration with the venue owners.
Following the implementation of these measures, we conducted a programme of post-completion acoustic testing to verify the effectiveness of the upgrades and confirm a significant reduction in noise breakout.
